In this session we will go over parasite management and detection, other high summer health concerns, and overall care and maintenance of the flock as they graze in the warm season. We will include a hands on experience handling sheep, trimming hooves, and checking body condition. To assess parasite levels, we will examine eyelids (FAMACHA) and be doing fecal testing floating parasite eggs to count and assess. All hands on!
